One thing that I used to do, a lot was custom WordPress themes. If you’ve been around a bit, each of my sites used to have a custom theme, plus I did a lot of work on the OG theme for MotoringFile, Bimmerfile and a few others. Then I stopped doing it, I just couldn’t keep up. Until now.
Lately, I’m still in need to custom WordPress themes. I can never find anything that I like in any of the stores or sites. So, I built my own.
This time, instead of firing up bbedit, cracking my knuckles and start writing php and CSS, I went over to my Claude.ai account and asked it to make me a theme for donburnside.com. You are soaking in it.
Then, I got the crazy idea to help out my Youtube Creator son-in-law, The Man of Recaps, and my old pal Fireball Tim, whose site is running the last of the custom themes theme I built by hand. But Man of Recaps? Built and hosted right here at donburnside.com.
