Now that I’ve disconnected ActivityPub, I guess it’s time to start writing again. We are going to use this as a jump start, get the fingers on the keyboard, make the clicking sound. Do the thing.
What’s Next?
About a year ago I started using AI. It did not take me long to go from simple prompts to creating batch files and PowerPoint macros. When macros were blocked, I started with Python and built an app called Voxsmith. I use it almost daily to narrate PowerPoint presentations that get turned into training videos.
That app turned into another app, and another, and another. So far, in the last 12 months, I have built 5 Python apps that do everything from PowerPoint utilities to transcription to how-to’s. I even created my own app to help me manage my own apps. Not to mention, the amount of WordPress work I have been able to do. This theme that is powering this site is one of my latest creations and I have it running on 4 sites.
AI has really given me the ability to not have to say no. Godaddy site with severe malware infection and corruption? I know most of the steps already, I used AI for scanning files and providing instructions on processes that I did not fully understand.
I have also recently started an upskilling initiative with my team to help them create and run their own Python scripts and better use the AI tools we have. I created a translation engine that creates video captions and translates them. I’m working on a PowerPoint remediation app that will process 100’s of decks for text and image correction.
I’m doing cool shit that makes me excited! That’s what I’m going to be sharing here going forward. Thanks for sticking around.
