Why I love WordPress

I have finally done it!

No I didn’t cure cancer.
No, I have not yet harnessed the power of a human sneeze
No, I haven’t figured how to keep windows dry after going through a car wash

I have, however, successfully installed WordPress to be used as a very easy to manage CMS!.

The Tools
WordPress v1.5
Page to Front plug-in
WP Contact Form

With a little help from the WP Codex for category separation and post linking, I have created a site that:

  • Can be totally managed by non-HTML knowing users
  • Can be edited by non-HTML knowing users
  • Pages can be easily added and are linked up automatically
  • Won’t have the layout borked by non_HTML knowing users

All of that from the WP GUI. I ever created a cheat sheet of sorts, complete with screen shots.

Anyway, I was excited. That, and I wanted this posted for future reference 🙂

Oh yea, the site? Click here.
