Time to change?

I was going to do this as a Sunday Post, but I wanted everyone to get the chance to read this over the weekend.

I sit here typing after posting here, here twice, here three times, here and here. Plus a video upload. Plus link additions to 6 sites.

All of them mine.

I’m starting to think that maybe, just maybe, I’ve got my stuff spread out a little bit too much on these internets and maybe, just maybe, it might be time to consolidate a little bit.

When I first started blogging, I only had one. But I started to post a lot of things that were MINI related with a lot of things that weren’t. So, I split them out to what you all know and love today.

But now I’m starting to think in doing this, in keeping them separate, I’m diluting myself.

Most of my readers at dbmini don’t come here. They have never heard of this. Or they have checked it out but kept going because it isn’t MINI related. There are some, of course, that read both (I know who you are) and that’s very cool! Thanks.

Then, there are some of you here that don’t pay any attention to my MINI stuff, or my podcasts. You are here for the w(t)f experience consisting of my words, my photos and my video. In a sense, you are getting a more complete version of ‘me’ than anyone else.

I hate to use this term, but it’s fairly applicable in this case. I’m feeling like my personal brand is getting diluted and I think it’s time to fix that. Not sure if it’s something I’m going to fix overnight, but still fixed nonetheless.

The fix would involve moving everything to a single domain, donburnside.com. I would still be able to keep everything separate, yet together at the same time. And it would all be under one roof, and a roof with my name on it.

Thoughts? Suggestions? You know I like the feedback! Let me know what you think below.
