If you are following along @donburnside on Twitter, you already know that I am going to be making a 10 episode run of podcasts. If you don’t follow along at Twitter, I am going to be making a 10 episode run of podcasts.
I’m doing this to get back into the swing of making podcasts. It has been something I enjoy doing, but 2020 really sucked the wind out of my sails (read this for more).

White Roof Radio is Dead, Long Live White Roof Radio

A quick explainer why I’m making this and not White Roof Radio. This will also be going into the WRR feed, for those that don’t play the donburnside.com home game.
You can follow where ever finer podcasts are found. If you are new to this podcast thing, search for me in Spotify or Apple Podcasts so you can follow along. Oh, you want links? Fine!

If you are looking for this in your podcast app of choice, please be patient as this, literally, showed up in Apple Podcasts this morning and it will take a few hours to work it’s way through the system.

Feedback is always appreciated. Comments are always open, or you can @ me the Twitter!

  1. Kudos DB! It’s hard to stop a thing that people love (or even pause it) but it feels right given what you lay out here. And thank you for editing that first MF podcast. It’ll never be WRR but I hope it can carry the torch until the original is reborn.

  2. Good to hear Ridebikesradio is on the way back – judging by your Strava you’ve really upped your game there this last year – got to look at the positives of 2020 I guess! 🙂

  3. Good to hear your voice again Don ?
The last few years has resulted in a reduction of my own (sad) social media footprint as well, (doom scrolling and rage RTing excepted of course) so I understand and expect the majority of the WRR community does as well.
Looking forward to episodes 2-10 ?

    1. Thanks Michael! Yes, episodes 2 – 10 at minimum. I’m hoping I can keep it going beyond that but wanted to keep myself setup for success.

I will be releasing weekly. I know they are short. Until I get my production process nailed down I need the extra time.

  4. db, I liked the ‘WRR Is Dead’ is dead diatribe. Well done, and Great Luck with the new effort. I’m in!

  5. Great episode, DB. And thanks for including my bumper in the show : -) I’ll continue to support you guys in all your endeavors!

  6. Hi: We wondered what became of WRR. Its of course your choice to stop if it wasn’t working,
But maybe a final wrap-up show to let listeners know would have been appreciated. Glad you
    are back.

    1. Thanks Rick!

I’m not sure if you have noticed, but we did start recording White Roof Radio again! You can still find us at whiteroofradio.com and your favorite podcast app!
