As promised.
Last week was a busy one for me as I mentioned. I am proud to say that both of the websites I was working on are done and should be live by the end of the week at the latest, but they are ready for you to check out now.
This first one is pretty kick ass if I do say so myself. 100% powered by WordPress. No plug-ins and only a few minor hacks. I know you want your chance to try to break it. Go ahead..
Cool features of this site.
- 100% WordPress powered, all navigation works
- Cartoon on the front page updates automatically, kinda
- Cartoon page is 100% automated, kinda
I still have a few minor tweaks to make this week to finish it off, but for the most part, it’s finished.
The other site I’ve been working on is a complete redo of fireballed.com. No, you don’t want to see that, it’s the old stuff. You want to see teh new hotness. This site is a first for me in that I am taking it off of WordPress and going, basically, the static HTML route. Ok, so they are PHP pages, but that’s only so I can use PHP includes. This one is also pretty much done with only a few minor tweaks needed before I make it live by Friday at the latest.
As usual, much appreciation goes your way for checking them out. Even more appreciation goes your way if you comment. To be fair (to myself, mostly), while I have run both of these sites through the ick known as IE, I haven’t checked lately. Relax, you know I’m going to do that before I put up ’em live, right? What? Do you think I’m new here or somethin’?
Ok, now I have to get some sleep.
woah, cool! I still need to do a search in wikipedia for what SCRUM is exactly. So far, site works flawlessly in Safari/Firefox.
We use agile methodologies on my project but if someone was to call anyone a Scrum Master I’d die laughing. I do, however, highly recommend the ideas behind it.
Awesome, thanks fellas!
And, for CJ…Scrum (development)
your byline (Agile Software Development looks easy; however, use common sense to avoid catastrophes.) could be sitting right under Implementing SCRUM rather than indented. It (the byline) could aslo be on one line – it seems awkward at present and breaks into two lines at different places in different browsers and resolutions
once linked into the forum, there is no way back to the main site. consider opening the forum in a new window or having a link back to the main site
Subscribe links straight to your newsreader. what if you don’t have one? rather open a page with a brief discription saying this is an RSS subscription, maybe with links to some RSS readers, and then a prominent link on that page to subscribe via RSS. otherwise ppl are expecting an email subscription and wind up WTF?!
lemme know if you need more
Thanks Tim!
What else? 😉
