when you dream,
what do you dream about?
Do you feel it sometimes? I guess it’s hard to describe, but it’s just a feeling.
Are they colour or Black and White
Like something, or quite possibly everything, is different, but you aren’t sure why
Yiddish or English
Perhaps like something is about to change, either good or bad
or languages not yet conceived?
Or maybe that something is about to happen. Something completely new
Are they silent or boisterous
Do you hear noises just
loud enough to be perceived?
Something completely different
Do you hear Del Shannon’s “Runaway” playing
on transistor radio waves?
And it feels so real that you just know that
whatever it is has already happened to
you sometime or some place
With so little experience,
your mind not yet congnizant
are you wise beyond your few days?
