iTunes conversions

ok, I’m diggin’ iTunes. I’ve got the navigation figured out and all that. Like the GUI and the search functions. Still not too keen on the speed, but I deal with it. Can’t expect much running Apple Software on Windows, right?

But, there is still a problem. iTunes downloads are AAC format, which only play within iTunes or on an iPod. So, for these tracks to be useable for me, I need to convert them into MP3. Here’s how it goes:

  • Download tracks
  • Burn tracks using iTunes
  • Open CD in Music Match
  • Label tracks by hand
  • Rip tracks to MP3

There has got to be a better and more cost effective way to do this. I’m wasting more time and CD’s. Anyone out there make a conversion utility yet? Anyone, anyone…
