Home Theatre upgrade

Is finally completed!

Here’s my setup:
~Toshiba 46″ rear projector HDTV display
~Pioneer DTS 6.1 Receiver (100wX7, full dolby Digital and DSP)
~Pioneer Universal DVD Player

The last in the list is my latest acquistion. The Pioneer DV 563A plays DVD’s, SACD’s as well as DVD Audio, plus it has all of the other bells/whistles to keep me playing with it. This is my first progressive scan DVD player and can’t believe I went this long without! The picture is awesome! It also has full support for all things Dolby, so the sound is equally impressive.

I have even started playing with one of the other supported formats (dvd-audio disc). I picked up a Bonnie Raitt 2 disc set from a live concert and it sounds amazing! At first it takes a little bit to get used to the surround sound with audio, but once you get used to it and it’s pretty nice.

Otherwise everything else is going along far better than I could have ever hoped.
