Been lad-less for the last couple of days, so I have taken advantage of it. Especially when it comes to culinary choice.
Last night for example. I conjured up a batch of cucumber avocado soup with pan seared scallops. Absolutely delightful. Tonight I grilled a couple of lamb chops and tossed them with a lemon rice vinegar dressed salad of romaine lettuce and beefsteak tomatoes. With another really great bottle of pinor noir. Yea, I live on the edge.
New system for the office is on order and the check was cut. I’m looking to be pretty busy for the next couple of weeks. I have to do some serious brushing up on Win ’03 server.
The lass is gone. Well, she still lives across the street, but we will be spending much less ‘quality’ time together, if you know what I mean. Man, sometimes girls just suck.
Listening to the new Wilco – A Ghost is Born. Diggin it. Another one that might be worthy of your listening please is from a band called Fountains of Wayne – Welcome Interstate Managers. Very cool on both counts, especially for something that is a bit more on the side of mellow.
And capt. Pancake is at some Pancake Festival in northern Nebraska I think he said. Some hick town with a population of about 150 or so. He says there are cute girls, but limited cell phone service. He’ll back in a few days I believe.
Way more visitors and readers to w(t)f last month than ever before! Thank you for that. If you like what you see, then by all means, comment.
Back to my really great bottle of Pinot Noir, and possibly some season 1 of the West Wing.
