History of Me Personal

A Good Day

All the way around really. Today teh lad had his end of season banquet/bbq/day in the pool without wearing a speedo. I’m pretty sure he swam 5 minutes after eating which, I’m also pretty sure, freaked out every Mom within 3 miles of the school.

While he was doing that, I was fighting with photoshop and lost, so I helped Mom a bit in the yard. If anyone wonders, I can wield an electric hedge trimmer with the best of them.

I pick up teh lad from his thing and he’s walking pretty tall and is carrying a few things. First up was a certificate that almost everyone got because he was on the swim team. Next was a certificate because **he maintained a 3.0 or better GPA during the swim season!** I know, right? Finally, a plaque for being the most improved swimmer on the JV team. Would have been better if he could have swam the 100m Breast Stroke at the last regular meet because he probably would have lettered. But, as I told him, gotta let that one go.

After that, time to come home, shower and off to enjoy someone elses air conditioning in the form of Star Trek at the local theatre. It was the late afternoon showing so there were only about 20 people there, which was nice. Not so much the idiots that kept saying Star Track (that’s an issue for another post I’m sure).

Follow that with a pretty ok dinner at Friday’s, and some fun conversations. We haven’t had a day like this in a while, and it was pretty nice.

Mother’s Day is going to be a long one. Up early to make breakfast, then to the g’rents for an early dinner after sitting in traffic for a few hours. Then home and, hopefully, an early bedtime.

I hope all the Mom’s out there have a great day!
