This coming October marks my 2nd full year in Arizona. This November 10-12 marks my third time attending and participating in
PodcampAZ TechPHX! Same un-conference format, same location, new name to better reflecting what it’s all about.
This year, as in years past, I will be speaking on Podcasting. This year too, **unlike** prior years, I will be sitting on a Podcasting Panel (!) which I’m pretty stoked about. And, to break things up a bit, I’m also going to speak on using Instagram.
PodCampAZ TechPHX, 3 talks. Sounds about right.
Click the logo for the details. They are still hammering out the speaker schedule, but you can see all that have signed up so far on the TechPHX blog. Looks like another great line up in the works! Remember, it’s November 10-12 at the University of Advancing Technology, which happens to be right across the street from Fry’s Electronics.
Coincidence? I think NOT!
Just like last year, I will again be presenting at PodCampAZ. Just like last year, I will be doing a talk about Podcasting. But this year will be different.
This year, instead of just talking about Podcasting, I’m going to get anyone that wants, to actually _make_ a podcast. That’s right. A short audio podcast (or video), uploaded to a server, posted to a WordPress site and made available in iTunes!
There is a chance that I will also be leading a session that will continue, more in-depth and hands on, where the talk leaves off. I’m pretty excited and can’t wait to start putting it all together. Watch this space for more details.
And if you are going to be in or around Phoenix November 11-12, drop by the University of Advanced Technology to check it out. Last year’s event was pretty amazing and I will almost bet that this year’s will be even better! Click the logo for full details.
On Saturday, November 20th, I lead a session at PodcampAZ about Podcast consistency, keeping your listeners and getting new ones. I think there are some great tips here, hopefully you will find it useful.
Some of the items discussed in the show.
- Audio Hijack Pro for Mac can be found here
- Pamela Skype Recorder for Windows can be found here
- My podcast can be found at WhiteRoofRadio.com
If you were one that attended my session, thank you for your time! If you have any follow up questions at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me.
This is audio taken from my Flip Video video camera. No video because the zoom was set to full and that’s a view of me that nobody needs, really.

What better way to get back on to the horse I slid off of then to jump back on with both feet placed firmly in the stirrups? I’m actually going to hosting a session at Podcamp AZ later this month about podcasting.
>I’ve been producing one of the highest rated automotive podcasts for more than 5 years with a listener base that almost always shows growth. I would like to share with you some tips on how you can help your podcast retain listeners and snag the new listeners as they come around. And a few words about WordPress, since you can never have enough talks about WordPress!
If you are in Arizona and want to hang out with a bunch of new media folks, cruise over to the University of Advancing Techonlogy on November 20-21. There are already quite a few great sessions on the books. The last podcamp I did was in Southern California and there was a ton of great information shared and I had a great time. You can too! Did I mention it was free? You can register here.
Details on the session to follow. I’m going to use as a bit of a sounding board, since I’ve never actually done this before. Should be fun!
