So I lied

But this will be it for a few days I’m sure

I hate to make the bed.

I hated making my bed when I was a kid. In fact, we all know the arguement that was tossed back at Mom, right? Everyone!

But I’m just going to mess it up again

If you try to tell me that you have never ever once uttered the above phrase, I am going to call you a liar.

But now, as a responsible adult, I find that I do in fact make my bed, if for no other reason than it makes it look better (in case I have company) (oh, who am I trying to kid) and is slightly more comfortable. To that end I do have a nice set of Egpytian Cotton sheets and a wonderfully fluffy goose down comforter (not too heavy, not too light). But, I digress.

Every now and again you have to wash the sheets. I try to do this at least once a week unless there are *activities (see above). This is the part of bed making that I really hate. Getting the sheets off the bed is a piece of cake, but on a king sized mattress that sits 4 feet above the ground (I’ll have to snap a pic one of these days), getting the fitted sheet back on that mother f’er is a real pain in the arse! Twist, turn, tug, pull, realize you have the thing on inside out or backwards and repeat. Like 15 minutes to do this. After that, the rest just goes into a semi-made pile on the bed and voila!

Anyway…

And no, I do not make the lad make his bed. He’s just going to mess it up later…
