Just got back from the LA Auto Show and before I sort and post the photos, audio and video, I felt compelled to share something with you.

In the last 24 hours I have driven approximately 195 miles. Under normal conditions (like driving to Las Vegas) that distance would normally take a little less than 3 hours to travel. But you know we wouldn’t be having this little chat now if that were the case.

Because it’s not. For the time period starting 5:30p November 18th, 2008 until 5:30p November 19th, 2008, I have spent eight hours in my car. The calculates out to an average speed of 24.3 MPH.

Imagine, if you will, driving through a school zone that is almost 200 miles long.

If the economy is so bad, then where are all of these effing cars coming from?

What out for LA Auto Show stuff to follow shortly.

Dear Southern California Driver,

It has recently come to our attention that you are starting to develop a habit of driving more that 10MPH under the speed limit.

Please realize that we do appreciate your extra steps toward safety, but you are starting to upset your fellow drivers and we are getting letters.

Also, please note that the posted speed limit on Southern California freeways is 55 or 65 MPH and, when entering the roadway, it is your responsibilty to merge with traffic, not traffics responsibility to SLAM ON THE BRAKES SO AS NOT TO RUN INTO THE ASS END OF YOUR CAR, WHICH IS TRAVELING AT 35MPH! YOU DUMB MOUTH-BREATHING PIECE OF SHIT, STEP ON THE GAS!

We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Thank You

Sincerly,

Wind(the)Frog(dot)net

While on the drop, even with the threat of hurricane Rita, are still too high.

Dammit!

You see, here in California, our gas prices have soared to numbers never before seen or even imagined. Do you know why? Threats of storms on the gulf coast, and 1 storm that actually made landfall.

But, we don’t get our gas or oil from the gulf coast region!

You see, here in Sunny California, we are special. The fucktards at the California Air Resource Board (CARB) see to that. We have a ’special’ formula for our gasoline. It’s not used in any other state, and we don’t export it. Oh yea, the formula changes from summer to winter too.

Since it is so special, we have to make it ourselves. So, nothing imported from Texas.

Of course you need to have some of that ‘black gold’ to produce the gasoline, right? Ours comes from the North Slope, not Texas.

So, my question to you greedy mother fucking oil companies is why am I still paying more than $3.00 a gallon for fuel when the weather that is affecting the south should not have an affect?

I’m all about making a profit, but I’m spending over $400 a month to the gas pumps right now, and really, I’m about fucking tired of it!

My knee is bugging me. No, not that one, the other. And it has moved into my foot. No worries, it only hurts when I walk or drive. Go figure.

Another big side job in the works. Not big money, but I’m sure it will get me even more.

The new template you say? It’s about finished. Putting finishing touches on the dbmini layout and gallery system first. Soon grasshopper, soon.

Kinda wish it would start raining again. At least that way there would be an excuse for all the lame ass driving going on. C’mon people, the sign says 65 MPH! I’m not even going to mention the fucking rookies on the mountain lately. You lamers just need to go around. I’m getting really tired of being late to work because that piece of crap car you are driving (or fully loaded gravel truck) can only traverse the road at 30MPH and you’ve forgotten all your drivers training about pulling over when you have more than 5 cars RIDING YOUR ASS, HONKING HORNS AND FLASHING HEADLIGHTS! Christ people…wake up already!

This is one that has been bothering me/annoying me/pissing me off for quite a while now.

Why are people so stupid in parking lots?

When I go to a store that has a parking lot, I park my car in the space (between the white lines) and go into the store. When I’m done in that store, I go back out to my car, load my purchases into the boot of the MINI, get in, start the car and leave.

I don’t:
~Start the car and sit there while I make a phone call
~Get out, mess with something in the back seat, then get back
~Re-organize the CD’s I have with me alphabetically
~Look for something in the center console
~JUST SIT THERE!

This agravates me more than anything else. People, get in your car, start your car, and GO! This especially applies if you are in one of the more f’ed up lots (and you know which I am talking about) that is especially busy. Nothing worse than having to sit there for a minute, waiting for a space that is a solid 1/4 mile from the store, waiting while you are doing something OTHER than vacating the space!

Also, for you lamer cell phone users, parking lots are BY FAR the worse place for you to use them. You think that because you are driving slower that you are doing it better than normal? I think not! I can’t tell you how many times in the last month I’ve almost been hit by a parking lot cell phone user that was just too f’ing stupid to pay attention!

Just knock it off will ya’?
