thinksecret, macrumors, etc. All get taken with the same grain of salt.

I had a 12 incher iBook, great for somethings. I’d never try to do my daily work on it. THat said, in the last few days I’ve seen plenty of ultra portables… they seem to be populr for some reason. Though Apple rarely follows the fold so who knows.. :)

    I like my 15.4

I used to have a 12″ PowerBook. It was really handy to have and a lot more pick up and go than any other laptop I’ve owned, not only that it also had a significant power boost over the 12″ iBook at that time which was still running on the G3.

Ultimatly I bought a 15″ and wouldn’t go back to a 12″ now because of the screen space. If the trend follows though then the “new” 12″ MacBook Pro would have the same screen pixels and size as my current 15″ so I would consider it more if that is to be true. The only other thing I’d miss and consider not buying the 12″ for are the graphics card was never that good in the 12″ compared to the 15″ model and since I used to play games on my Mac that was an issue for me back then.

Really I’d just need to see the specs. Right now what I’m using would be eclipsed by anything Intel based and I did love the smaller laptop. Maybe, just maybe….
