Even though I kept calling it #6…
A little talk about backup, upcoming upgrades for the macbook and school prep for the lad.
The new drive hasn’t been installed yet, but everything is backed up and I’m ready to do it. It’s a Fujitsu 120GB 5400 RPM drive. It was cheap (less than $100) which is why I went 5400 instead of 7200RPM (those drives are expensive).
Watch tomorrow for possible album art.

I just saw this drive on Buy.com today, $99.99 and free shipping.
Can you use USB 2.0 on your Mac? Maxtor OneTouch III 300GB Hard Drive – Interface (USB 2.0) External Hard Drive http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202903139&adid=17653&dcaid=17653

Great price to be sure, but since I worked help desk in the late 90’s, Maxtor still leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure it’s a fine drive, but I’ll stick to the Western Digitals. They go Firewire or USB 2.0 (I have both on the mac)

Also thanks for doing the location callouts as you are driving.
