So I’m at Starbucks getting my after-lunch-triple-grande-latte when I look over at the bulletin board. Pictures of someone’s kid, a nice good morning message drawn with crayon on a piece of copy paper, an event list from a local medical center. You know, the normal crap.
But I also saw a flyer for World Vegetarian Day.
Huh?
Before I go further, if you are one of those people that don’t eat meat, click away now. I realize this is a choice you made for health, moral or some other reason and that’s just fine.
The problem I have with this is y’all tryin’ to force your hippie cult on me. Double you tee eff people! Man was invented to eat meat for craps sake. That why we have those nifty pointy teeth called incisors. We require protein. Iron. Calcium. The biggest supplier of these essential minerals for our bodies is animals.
I’m not calling you a bad person ’cause you don’t eat meat (I’ll leave that up to jSchwa), but I was perfectly ok not knowing about this particular ‘holiday’ of yours.
Now I know and I’m not very happy about it. I think next year I’m gonna grill me up a thick New York Steak, top it with some bacon and throw it down with tall, icy glass of milk. Of course I’ll be wearing a leather jacket and shoes while I do it.

so if it’s world vegetarian day, are we supposed to eat more vegetarians? or less? I’m guessing we’re not supposed to kill them and as they’re not hunted I doubt we’re supposed to protect them for a day… Interesting.
