I’m not sure about the rest of you, but my geek services always seem to be wanted more at the beginning of a year than at the end. Resolutions? Money in the budget? Who knows? It makes me more money, so I’m not going to complain.
Some years I’m busier than others, and 1 or 2 that haven’t been so hot. This year is off to what could be a promising start.
On the go already is 1 fairly large web project. Even kinda high profile. No, I can’t tell you what it is. I said no. Really. Stop asking, I can’t tell you. Well, when it’s done and I get final approval, then maybe I’ll tell you. If you already know because you have done some preliminary Mac/Safari* testing for me, please don’t spoil it for everyone else.
Next week I get to install my first wireless LAN. That’s Local Area Network to the less geek of you. I’ve already designed the layout and know where all of the parts are going to go. The parts have arrived so I just have to go install them and hope everything works!
Cool stuff going on for the Podcast too. This is another one of those things I can’t tell you, but it might have slipped out during conversations. Again, please, no spoilers.
Olympics? My only thing to report is teh lad and I got accidentally sucked into watching about 45 seconds of ice dancing. Ice dancing? An olympic sport? And they dropped baseball? Whatever. Oh, don’t worry, we guy’d up/geek out by watching 4 back to back episodes of ST:TNG. Yea, ’cause that’s how we roll.
*Safari I’m starting to hate, but alas I must save that for another post.

Finally, for those of you in the know, Markdown is available as it a very small set of HTML tags. If you are scratching your head, don't worry, it's just geek stuff. You can still comment!

Hee hee… I know what it is…
Also, I know how you feel dogg. Mucking about in SQL and .asp, mucking about in a big network, mucking about in Adobe PageMaker/Microsoft Publisher to see how much of the club’s newsletter I can salvage… Ick.
