from the mini blog and this site…M$ is up to no good over at msn.com…
Msn.com updated to filter mouse click events such that right-clicking functionality is only provided by IE. Firefox user’s attempt to open links in another tab find themselves SOL as a right click attempt simply behaves as a left click thereby proceeding to the Msn site in the current window. This is completely uncalled for. Just because open source is stealing IE’s market share they had to go below the belt and pull an immature stunt like this. As far as I am concerned there is no legit security reason for a move like this so I am curious to hear their response when confronted. Spread the word!

I actually went over and gave this a go. Can you believe that when you click with the right mouse button on a link (and on a link only I might add), it treats it like a left click? Completely uncalled for IMHO and totally lame. update…Tried this in Firefox on Linux. You will get the context menu, but the page still changes as if you left clicked a link/update
You can show them tho. Really. On the Mac, cmd-click the links to open in a new tab and you Windows users can use the 3rd mouse button/wheel button to do the same thing. Those aren’t blocked.
This is the lamest thing I have ever seen, ever!
On a more local front, I’m working on putting a podcast together. I’m already on ver 2 of the 2nd rev, but it’s coming along. I hope to have something ready to post tomorrow. Can’t tell you what it is, but I hope it will be cool!
