So, I finally broke down and contacted my my cable company last week and order me up one of those high fa-luetin’ HD cable boxes, with the service that goes with.
This past Sunday, I saw Janet’s boob and a crappy football game with lame commercials in brilliant high definition. Just tonight I watched a cliff hanger of an episode of West Wing in brilliant high definition. Later this week I plan on watching whatever hockey game is being broadcast on ESPN in brilliant high definition.
high definition: it’s brilliant.
For those of you that have yet to experience the brilliance that is high definition, it’s kind of like this. You know when you go to a live sports event, especially baseball, and when you first enter the stadium seating everything looks crystal clear and sharp, almost surreal. That’s what high definition is like.
My current entertainment system specs:
Toshiba 43″ rear projection HD TV
Pioneer 600W DTS Surround Reciever
JBL Theatre Reference speakers
Advent All weather speakers for the patio
Pioneer super old DVD player
Microsoft XBox
Monster Cable cables and connectors
(yes, even for the xbox)
So, needless to say I haven’t seen a movie, in a theatre, since Daredevil I think. It’s been a while. But, with my setup, I really don’t see the need.
If you have the opportunity to checked out any high definition programming, I’d highly recommend it. It’s brilliant.
