Bad Timing

This morning I received a phone call from my Mom. My Uncle, her brother-in-law, passed away last night while he slept. I don’t have any other details right now. I do know that he was recently diagnosed with severe heart problems and his test results were due today from the doctor. We weren’t really close, but he was a great guy and he will be missed.

I’ve known other people that have lost family members during this time of year and it’s always so hard. This is the time of year that is supposed to be all about family, friends and loved ones and it’s always especially difficult when there is a loss. I haven’t had a chance to speak with my Aunt or Cousins, but Mom is quite upset about it which is a pretty good indication of how things are. It was so sudden. Nobody was expecting this.

So I will probably be a bit sparse this week helping out where ever I can.
