A fun way to kill some time this evening

Stole this idea from <a href=http://www.windtehfrog.net”>Josh (check out that URL…usually, Josh is creative enough to make up good ones on his own).

Using Wikipedia’s Random Article function, do the following.

  1. Wikipedia random page = band name.
  2. Wikipedia random page = album title.
  3. Wikipedia’s first picture you see = cover art.
  4. 12 wikipedia random pages = song titles.

So, off to Wikipedia where I bring you, fine folk of w(t)f proper, the world premere of …

Adios Butler

There first effort, Charles Elworthy, Baron Elworthy is a quirky affair, befitting of their name. Besides the title track, there are 12 other chart toppers on this baby. Check ‘em out! trey_parker_2007.jpg

  1. Rob Cavallo
  2. Polylepis rugulosa
  3. Birkenfeld (Enz)
  4. Andrzej Zgutczyński
  5. Pangbourne
  6. North Harrow
  7. Man of Constant Sorrow
  8. A Passage into Forlorn
  9. Purple Reign in Blood
  10. Bernice F. Sisk
  11. Trucy-l’Orgueilleux
  12. Southern Illinois University

Available soon at Amazon, iTunes and Walmart! Watch for them soon at your County Faire too. I’m tellin’ ya, my grandmother wept when they played Purple Reign in Blood. It was very touching.

(btw, I think I scored on the randomizer. See Josh’s, he did alright too.)

Wow, I used the Wikipedia random page feature to choose the theme of a short novel written using a collective writing method (here, if you crunch Italian); then I decided to build an entire site on Wikipedia randomness. You can find it here: http://www.wikirandom.org.

But yours is truly a creative use. I will add a link to this post in the “What’s this for?” page of the site.

Cool! Good luck with that! Sounds like an interesting thing to do and a great way to kill some time.
