Checked out iTunes today? If yea, go to the essentials section. MAJOR improvements that are actually pretty cool.
Poking around a bit, I was able to recreate a playlist from one of my 6th grade dances. No, I didn’t download the tracks (yet), but for you youngsters (ok, younger than me) out there, I thought a little music history is in order…
- Copacabana - Barry Manillow…I know what you’re thinkin’, but back in the day this was a swingin’ track!
- Don’t Stop Believin’ - Journey…how in the world do you think they made so much money? They were *the* rock band back then.
- Every Woman in the World - Air Supply…many a pre-teen butt got touched for the first time to this song I’m sure.
- Centerfold - J. Geils Band…Do I really have to say more?
- Eye of the Tiger - Survivor…Actually, I still hate this song and hate that Starbucks used it, kinda, in a commercial.
- Queen’s Another One bites the dust, Crazy little thing called love and We will rock you/We are the champions…That last one was actually best at the roller rink! ALL SKATE, CHANGE DIRECTIONS!
- Physical - Olivia Newton John…Yes, your favorite grease star actually was a singer! I preferred Xandu myself, but what do I know.
For those of you wondering, I did do a survey of the yard last night and other than some newly sprouted weeds, everything is good to go. I did not do that project yesterday, but that’s mostly due to the wiring guy flaking out and it’s no longer raining!
