Yea, got the ol’ eyes checked today. Been 2 years since my last, and since I need new glasses to sell, figured I was due.
Does anyone know what it means when, sitting in the chair at the eye doc, you look down at the chart at the end of the room and only see black fuzzy shapes? Is that bad? Can you believe that some people actually have told me that there is a big assed ‘E’ on the f’ing chart? Right there at the top, about 1000pt. Hell, the damned thing could be 2000pt and I could be right up on it and it would still be a big black fuzzy bunch of nothing to me.
I know, I can’t believe they let me drive either. They do make me wear corrective lenses if that makes you feel any better.
Really tho, my eyes are so bad…
- I get claustrophibic in a dark room without my glasses
- Outside of about 2 feet, I can only distinguish light and color without my glasses
- Even with my glasses, my eyes are still so f’ed up with astigmatism, that my depth perception at night is just this side of non-existant
Yea, they let me drive at night too.
At least with my left hand (I’m right handed) I can write my name backwards. Without my glasses, I can’t do shit.
Anyway, new set is on the order and I should have them next week. In the meantime, if you see this mother f’er on the road…
get outta his way! He can’t see where he is goin’!
