At least I think it’s number 44.
A little MINI United. A little how-stuff-works, a little something else I’m going to start working on this week.
From Waiterrant this week.
“How much money does the town make off these meters?” I ask.
The DPW guy tells me the town’s annual haul from its five hundred meters. It’s enough to pay the salaries of two or three teachers.
A while ago I remember hearing how GM saved millions of dollars each year by not painting the inside of ashtrays that were installed in cars. American Airlines also saved millions by not putting a tomato wedge on salads it served during flights.
The little things can make a big difference. Something to think about.
You might have seen this yesterday on the Twitter.

Yes, that is correct, I am now in the possession of my 4th Blackberry Storm. The last one had a wonky screen with bad corners and I was a little tired of it.
But that’s not why I’m writing you today.
I had to go to the Verizon Store because teh lad’s phone gave up the ghost. Phone ordered and papers signed, I mentioned mine and before I even finished the sentance, the girl was already reaching into a cabinet and pulling out a replacement. Without even looking at my phone first.
This tells me that Verizon knows this is a problematic phone. No questions asked on a phone swap? I didn’t have to call 611, didn’t have to wait for someone to look my phone over, wasn’t asked a series of questions, nothing. I said it was bad and it got replaced on the spot, no waiting.
Reason #1 I stick with Verizon by the way. There is no way AT&T or Sprint would provide this level of service. On that same note, it would also appear that AT&T and Sprint know better than to sell a pile-of-crap phone like the Blackberry Storm.
Here’s to hoping the Storm 2 or The Tour are better phones are get released soon. Very soon.

Back safe and sound from MINI United and I’ve got a ton of things to get done today. Keep an eye out for more photos, video and whatever else I can find.
Oh yea, I met Drill. You guys didn’t. That means I am officially better than all of you, because Michael is a total rock star!
Hopefully db won’t mind me using his blog for a little evil – I’m doing the same on my site too…
I admit it – I actually read the phishing e-mails, some more closely than others. Not because I believe that the Crown Prince of Nigeria wants to give me any money or that I’ve inherited money from an unknown relative in Tiawan or anything. It’s just that some of these e-mails are so pathetic that it’s kind of amusing.
The latest one to get my attention:

What I really like is the e-mail address it came from – this guy is so lazy he can’t even be bothered to send from an e-mail address that might almost be remotely credible… Instead he just uses what is quite probably his own student e-mail account from his school in thTiawan… So here it is for every e-mail spambot on the interwebs – chenjb@mail.stut.edu.tw SPAMBOTS ATTACK!!!!!
