I love me that Costco.
For those of you not familiar with Costco (have you been living under a rock for the last 10 years?), no scratch that. Do a Google search or check the wiki. No time for hand holding today my friends. No sir.
Anyway, as I was saying, I love Costco.
Great prices, quality products and a clean store equals win win to me. Ok, so there are times when I really don’t need 9 dozen pens or 2 gallons of mayo, but who cares! At the prices they usually have for items, even if I only use half of a container before it goes bad, I’m still saving money!

Turns out it wasn’t a bad logic board. All they did was replace the hard drive.
FedEx dropped it off to me at El Casa today, I turned it on and it booted right up. Applied all the updates and put the 2gb of RAM back in and everything appears to be good to go.
You do know, of course, that I will be performing regular back-ups on this device now, right? Good thing I’ve got that 250GB external drive sittin’ on my desk at home.
And the weather channel tells me it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. It’s about time!
The MacBook is repaired and the FedEX man should be dropping it off on Monday.
Dropped more teasing at the motoring sites. I’m going to say that Paul’s guess of a sex change in Thailand is soooooo close.

I cleared all of the spam message from my gmail box.
There were over 4700.
Last week (I don’t remember the day) I cleared them all out.
There were over 13K
This will be my geek test of how much spam I get.

Oh yea, passport arrived. Now I can finally go to Mexico for lunch! Or, jet up to Toronto to check out the CN Tower or maybe fly down to Brazil to take part in carnival.

Oh yea, MacBook is in the shop and being worked on as I type this. I would imagine to have it back early next week. Just enough time for me to go out and pick up an Apple keyboard to use here when I’m not mobile.
Yea, so no Sunday Post. I’m really sorry about that. I did spend all day trouble shooting the MB. You’ve seen the comments already, so you know it’s a bad logic board. Is that applespeak for motherboard? Just curious? Also, can someone please answer for me what the big deal about RAM is on a Mac? You see, with a PC, you buy the RAM, you install the RAM. If you don’t get any error beeps (8 I believe), then everything is usually good to go.
But not so on the Mac eh? Everywhere I read, the first troubleshooting tip always asks if you have put in 3rd party RAM. What? Don’t y’all know that the Mac has 3rd party RAM in it from the factory?
Ok, I’ll let it go. Needless to say, the Mac will be in a box tomorrow on it’s way to the repair shop.
Then, there was last week. Not just part of last week, but ALL of last week. I could say it was the week from hell, but that would be pretty tame. Oh yes, it was much worse than that. Let’s see, this would be a good time for a jump followed by a list. Here we gooooo! (Read on…)
