Just silly I say

Some intervention please…

Looking for someone to please go over and tell jSchwa that wanting a poster like this hanging up in his room to “spruce things up” (yes, that is what he said), is, um, hmmm, wrong.

On a more serious note, my friends and I that travel the Ortega Highway would like to take a moment to thank you for allowing us to use your 91. Sorry, nothing we could do while CalTrans patched a hole that was about 120′ wide x 30′ or so deep.

Just so you know, we know our road is dangerous, treacherous and every other kind of -ous you can think of, but it moves when yours does not. That makes our road better and your road more sucky.

For the time being anyway. I think the bulk of the shit storm is over. But boy are they f’ing up the logs for here (double traffic being reported), here (almost double) and here (a few hundred extra).

I still don’t understand the point. Are the logs indexed? Do that many people really still list their referrers? I know I don’t get out much, but I’m pretty sure they don’t. I can understand beating the crap out of the comments, but referrals just makes me sit back and scratch my head.

Oh yea, I changed the colors again. You know me and how bored I get with things…

Sphere of Stupid

From the things I hate files

I believe that I am surround by stupid people that affect me everyday. You all should already be aware of this. It is a sphere that centers on me that goes out about 100 miles in every direction.

Earlier this week, the sphere shrunk in on itself and almost collapsed, which for sure would have caused a black hole of stupid.

The main culprits:

  • People that can’t follow directions, refuse to complete read directions or even bother to notice that directions exist.
  • People that have no idea what they are doing on the internet, ignore all of the warnings you see on TV, hear on radio or read in print and just start going to sites like they don’t have a care in the world.
  • Caltrans. Or, for those of you out of state readers, the California Dept. of Transportation. Well, not 100% correct, but you get the idea.

from ‘they aren’t dead’ dept, part II

A few months ago I posted about the ass kickin’ Billy Idol concert I attended. I think I mentioned a possible new album.

Well, guess what? Ok, so it’s only 1 single. But where there is 1, more are usually to follow.

And, btw, this song f’ing rocked live!

This is pretty cool

So in an effort to actually try to save some money this year, I went ahead and signed up for Vonage phone service. $15 a month for 500 minutes. Can’t beat those prices.

I was concerned about quality until a friend of mine called me from his Vonage phone and it sounded like he was on a normal phone, and he only has a DSL connection. That was all I needed.

Call quality so far has been excellent on my cable connection and I’m not using the suggested connection method. Everyone thinks I’m talking from a land line phone. I don’t care what you have heard or read anywhere else, but installation was a snap! They send out a voice router, you plug it in, plug in a phone a BOOM! you have dial tone.

And, in case you are wondering, you don’t have to follow the suggested connection method. Vonage recommends that you put the voice router between your modem and network. I actually have the voice router within my network and still have great call quality, even if I have an IP pcAnywhere session going.
